someone on who you can depend?

someone wise and smart,

and funny and warm?

someone dorky and brave,

who is a light in the storm.

a dad should tuck you in bed,

and say goodnight.

tell you, “I love you, I love you, with all of my might.”

a dad shares his passion,

and is unafraid,

showing his children to pursue their hearts,

and never be swayed.

a dad loves his house, his family, his home.

he defines loyalty and sacrifice,

and fights for his family,

whatever the price.

a dad reads stories and poems,

watches movies and plays games.

he fills your dreams with tales from other worlds and show you how to be creative without shame.

what is a dad?

a dad like this is hard to find. 

one who checks so many boxes and knows all his lines.
